I Heart Johannes Gutenberg

Here are a few books that I love and can recommend, just because I feel like it.

Medical-related:
Complications, by Atul Gawande
Better, by Atul Gawande
Stiff, by Mary Roach
Final Exam, by Pauline Chen (although her NY Times articles are better)
The Mont Reid Surgical Handbook
When The Air Hits Your Brain, by Frank T Vertosick Jr.
Walk on Water: Inside an Elite Pediatric Surgical Unit, by Michael Ruhlman
This Won't Hurt a Bit, by Michelle Au (of The Underwear Drawer blog)

Non-Medical:
The Harry Potter series, by JK Rowling
All Creatures Great and Small, by James Herriot (oddly, this is where I learned my very first anesthesia, obstetrics and orthopedics)
A Short History of Nearly Everything, by Bill Bryson
The Roald Dahl Omnibus (a collection of his adult short stories)
The Double Helix, by James Watson (he's a douchebag, but it's a great story)
